- Location data you provide directly or allow from your device to support nearby discovery.
How We Use Information
- To create and secure user accounts.
- To provide nearby coffee discovery, search, saved items, drink logs, and account personalization.
- To store and display the content you choose to submit inside the app.
- To send password reset or email verification messages.
- To operate subscriptions, support purchases, and restore entitlements.
- To detect abuse, moderate content, prevent fraud, and maintain service performance.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to run Bean Hunt.
- Infrastructure and database providers that host the API and account data.
- Cloud storage providers that store uploaded photos and related media.
- Email delivery providers used for transactional account emails.
- Places and mapping providers used to return nearby coffee shops and shop details.
- Apple and Google billing systems for in-app purchases and subscriptions.
Photos, Reviews, and User Content
When you upload a photo or submit a review, rating, or journal entry, that content may appear in the app according to the product’s sharing behavior. Uploaded media is stored in private object storage and served through app-controlled access.
Location Data
Bean Hunt can use your device location to find nearby coffee shops. You may also search by city, neighborhood, or zip code instead. We do not use location for third-party advertising.
Data Retention
We keep account and activity data while your account remains active and as needed for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and service operation. If you delete your account, personal data is removed or anonymized through our account deletion workflow, while limited aggregated review data may remain in non-identifiable form.
Your Choices
- You can use guest browsing without creating an account.
- You can reset your password through the app or reset-password flow.
- You can request account deletion from within app settings.
- You can revoke location access in device settings and use manual area search instead.
Security
We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, private infrastructure, and access controls designed to protect user data. No service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk and limit unnecessary exposure.
Children
Bean Hunt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version here and revise the date at the top of this page.
